About the Role

Progyny is seeking a skilled Cloud DevOps Engineer to enhance and maintain our cloud infrastructure, supporting the CI/CD process for our Engineering team. As a key member of our cross-functional team, you will work alongside Software, Database, IT, and InfoSec engineers to enable rapid development, configuration management, and testing, deployment, and production sustaining activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Own, extend, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and high availability.

• Collaborate with SREs and system architects to design, test, launch, and operate cloud-based serverless and container-based workloads.

• Extend the existing system for new applications as needed.

• Ensure the infrastructure is secure, recoverable, regularly maintained, and automated where possible.

• Ensure the infrastructure is structured in a cost-effective manner.

Requirements

• 5+ years of DevOps experience.

• 2+ years of Python or Bash experience.

• Strong knowledge of Docker and Terraform.

• Experience with various systems, including Datadog, GitHub, or Flosum.

• First-hand experience with configuration management and orchestration tools, such as CloudFormation or HCL, Terraform, CDKs, Kubernetes, and more.

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based Git hosting providers, like GitHub.

• Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL databases, and big data platforms.

• Ability to work independently and take initiative.

• Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively across multiple teams.
