Position Overview

United Talent Agency is in search of a skilled Associate to become a vital member of its Sales Operations division. This role is essential for ensuring seamless accounting processes related to agent assignments.

The Associate will report directly to the Sales Operations Manager of the designated department.

Key Responsibilities

The Sales Operations Associate will:

  • Manage a portfolio of business for assigned agents and coordinators, maintaining regular communication to guarantee precise booking data and reports.
  • Oversee the processing of client payments, ensuring accuracy and adherence to all legal and tax obligations.
  • Act as a liaison with both internal and external stakeholders regarding invoices, statements, collections, debits, and any inquiries about client accounts.
  • Maintain and review client bookings for accuracy and completeness, while upholding internal controls and revenue recognition standards.
  • Engage in special projects and respond to ad-hoc requests as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the Cash Management team to ensure correct identification and application of payments related to specific agents.
  • Work closely with the department manager and foster collaboration across teams.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members and consultants.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to Agents, Assistants, Business Managers, and other third parties associated with internal clients.
  • Review regular reports to agents to aid in forecasting, collections, date verifications, and insights into client performance.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, ideally at a Big 4 Firm.
  • Experience in audit or assurance is required.
  • Familiarity with the entertainment industry is preferred.
  • Prior experience in a customer service-oriented role is advantageous.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and a keen attention to detail.
  • A self-motivated and persistent approach, with a strong ability to follow up.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other accounting software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles, including revenue recognition.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to engage with individuals at all levels.
  • A high-energy level, strong work ethic, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Demonstrated ability to adhere to processes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with financial and enterprise systems, such as NetSuite.
