Job Overview

Avance Consulting is a dedicated manufacturer specializing in high-precision machined components. We are currently seeking a skilled CNC Machinist for the first shift. The ideal candidate will possess experience in Mazatrol programming.

As a family-oriented machine shop, we cater primarily to the scientific, robotic, and nuclear service sectors. Our company is experiencing growth, and we are looking for proactive individuals to join our production team, ensuring that all work meets our customers' quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret and analyze blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts.
  • Set up, operate, edit, and program Mazak Integrex and QTU CNC machines and machining centers.
  • Utilize GibbsCam to program multiple Mazak Integrex machines.
  • Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, and accessories.
  • Calculate and adjust controls to regulate machining parameters.
  • Input commands to retrieve, edit, or input computerized machine control media.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Completion of an apprenticeship program in Machine Shop technology; OR
  • A minimum of three years of relevant Mazak experience and/or training; OR
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency with Mazak machines is essential.
  • Ability to utilize micrometers, electronic gauges, calipers, and similar tools.
  • Knowledge of metric conversion; capable of working in both Metric and English units.
  • Physical capability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Day shift availability with potential for overtime.
