Dietitian Expert

Job Summary:

• We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Dietitian to join our Nutrition Team at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, ME.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in medical nutrition therapy, including nutrition assessment, diet modification, nutrition education, and intervention for patients. They will also have excellent communication skills, with the ability to train and mentor patient services staff and interns as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive medical nutrition therapy, including assessments, modifications, education, and interventions for patients.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop effective care plans and ensure seamless delivery of nutrition services.
• Stay up-to-date on industry developments, best practices, and research findings to inform evidence-based practice.
• Train and mentor patient services staff and interns to enhance their knowledge and skills.

Requirements:

• Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
• Licensed by the State Dietetics Licensing/Credentialing Board, if required.
• 1 year of hospital experience, preferred.
• Possess essential Microsoft Office applications, electronic medical records, and nutrient analysis programming skills.
