Position Overview

The Culver City Unified School District offers a unique Spanish Immersion Program (Dual Language) that fosters an integrated learning environment for English-speaking and Spanish-speaking students. This program aims to enhance students' mastery of academic subjects, proficiency in both English and Spanish, and cultural awareness.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
- Proficiency in Spanish
- Exceptional language modeling skills in both Spanish and English
- A valid California Multiple Subject teaching credential with Bilingual Authorization in Spanish
- CLAD/English Language Learner certification or an equivalent qualification is mandatory

For Transitional Kindergarten (TK) positions, candidates must comply with Education Code section 48000(g) as mandated by the California Department of Education (CDE). By August 1, 2025, teachers assigned to TK classrooms must possess one of the following:
a. A minimum of 24 units in early childhood education or child development, or both, from an accredited institution with a grade of C or better.
b. A child development Teacher, Master Teacher, Site Supervisor, or Program Director Permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC).
c. Prior assignment to teach TK or a combination class of kindergarten and TK before the specified date.

Employment Conditions
All job offers are contingent upon the successful completion of: background checks, tuberculosis clearance, and, if applicable, a physical examination. Candidates with a history of convictions must disclose this information on the application. A record of conviction does not automatically disqualify an applicant, but failure to disclose may lead to disqualification or termination.
