Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Cable Technician to join our team at Outsource, the nation's leading provider of low voltage and electrical talent. As a Cable Technician, you will be responsible for performing low voltage cable installation in a commercial environment, including pulling and routing CAT 5, CAT 6, and CAT6A cable, terminating phone jacks, and installing support structures.Key Responsibilities
  • Pulling and routing cable in new construction commercial environments
  • Terminating phone jacks and dressing and terminating distribution frames
  • Installing support structures, including ladders, racks, and j-hooks
Requirements
  • Recent experience performing low voltage / structured cabling installations in a commercial setting
  • Familiarity with BICSI, EIA, TIA, or NEC Standards
  • Rack and stack work, closet work, and server rack assembly
  • Fiber experience, including Anaerobic Terminations, SC and LC Connectors, and Splicing
  • Ability to read and understand schematic and line diagrams
  • Basic telecom tools, including punch downs, snips, wire strippers, cordless drill, and PPE
