Laboratory Technician

Job Summary:
The Laboratory Technician at Revvity will perform various activities related to cord blood or tissue processing or testing, including ABO, Hematology, and Flow Cytometry. The successful candidate will maintain production records and documentation, as well as laboratory equipment. They will also be responsible for recognizing and suggesting solutions, new ideas, and improvements, while consistently meeting quality specifications and understanding cGMP, cGTP, and AABB Guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Train on all aspects of cord blood processing or tissue processing and basic scientific understanding of human cells.
- Ability to use aseptic technique.
- Able to organize, establish, and complete priorities.
- Position requires handling blood and blood products, working with LN2 freezers, and working with large LN2 vapor phase storage tanks.
- Strict attention to detail and an outstanding work ethic.
- Ability to work in a collaborative style in a fast-paced team environment.
- Essential skills in MS Office and Excel.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in life or natural sciences.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Laboratory experience in an FDA-regulated environment.
- Understanding of cGMP, cGTP, AABB Guidelines.
Working Conditions:
- Clean room; Receiving and Labeling; Controlled Rate Freeze area, materials warehouse.
- Requires the ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds, bend, stoop, and stand for long periods of time, ascend and descend stairs.
