The position of Dietitian at Mille Lacs Health System provides consultation, training, coaching, mentoring, and instruction to staff, providers, and patients and residents. Working under the direction of the department Manager, this role ensures all regulatory standards are met through collaboration and professional communication with patients, families, medical staff, and employees.
Key Responsibilities- Monitors and approves menu planning for various therapeutic diets within the medical system.
- Provides active dietary support and monitoring of day-to-day food preparation and service.
- Consults with multidisciplinary teams on patient/resident care and completes nutrition assessments, MDS, and care planning for LTC residents.
- Serves on committees as assigned and utilizes knowledge in pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric nutrition to make recommendations to the medical team.
- Incorporates IDDSI principles into food service operations and educates staff and medical teams in use of terminology.
- Food Safety Certification
- 1-3 years of Food Service experience
- Bachelor degree required in related field
- Registered Dietician required
- Current licensure in the state of MN
