Position Overview: The Assembly Teams at Brantner and Associates, Inc. are responsible for operating designated automated assembly equipment, managing component flow, and troubleshooting machinery issues to maintain quality and efficiency.

Team members will execute changeovers and setups in alignment with production schedules, conduct quality inspections in accordance with established protocols, and document results as per quality standards.

Every associate is accountable for maintaining cleanliness and organization within the workspace, adhering to the company's Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and align components and fixtures utilizing hand and power tools.
  • Inspect all work for quality assurance and compliance with design specifications.
  • Conduct hydrostatic testing on products following work instructions.
  • Ensure uninterrupted operations by making necessary adjustments and resolving jams and misfeeds.
  • Perform in-process and final inspections of terminals to confirm adherence to Quality Improvement Program (QIP) specifications and print requirements.
  • Carry out routine preventative maintenance on machinery.
  • Prepare finished components for transfer by Material Handling.
  • Assist in training fellow associates as required.

Flexibility: Ability to adapt to multiple assignments as needed.

Experience and Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience.
  • 2 years of experience with manufacturing machine setup.
  • Prior knowledge of Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR) and hydrostatic pressure testing is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with SAP Manufacturing and ISO 9001 standards is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience in fiber optics is advantageous but not essential.
  • Proficient in using hand tools and interpreting technical drawings.
  • A safety-conscious mindset and a collaborative attitude are essential.

Work Environment: Willingness to work overtime to meet production objectives.
