We are seeking a skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team at Moody Neuro Rehabilitation Institute. As a patient care provider, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to adults with acquired brain injury (ABI) and other medical conditions.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide nursing services to patients, including medication administration, wound care, and vital sign monitoring.
- Assess patients for changes in medical or nursing status and report findings to the Registered Nurse and Medical Director.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care and support.
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate medical records.
- Current Texas state license as an LVN.
- Knowledge of TBI and related syndromes.
- Ability to work well with other people in a clinical setting.
- Ability to stimulate and motivate persons with problem in motivation.
- Knowledge of social customs and responsibilities.
- Ability to demonstrate flexibility, innovation, and good judgment.
- Ability to receive and follow instructions accurately.
- Knowledge of philosophical and ethical considerations in rehabilitation practice.
- Ability to pass CPR certification requirements.
- Ability to communicate accurate and pertinent information through documentation.
- Ability to execute emergency procedures with regard to fire drills, emergency evacuation, and triage.
- Ability to work rotating shifts and hours.
- Ability to assist clients with transfer into/from a wheelchair.
- Ability to obtain NCI certification.
- 2 years post-graduate experience in nursing, preferably in the fields of rehabilitation, patients with cognitive deficits, or mental health issues.
