Town & Country Veterinary Clinic is a well-established, progressive, fast-paced hospital seeking a second veterinarian to join their growing team. As a small animal general practice located in Starke, FL, we offer a wide range of services to provide comprehensive care to our patients, including preventative care, surgery, urgent care, high-speed dentistry, in-house diagnostics, digital full-body and dental radiology, ultrasonography, endoscopy, medical and/or vacation boarding, and more. We participate in regular industry field trials for new pharmaceutical medications and are proud to be an AAHA accredited and Fear Free Certified hospital.

Our hospital is located in Starke, FL, offering a great work-life balance with easy access to Gainesville and Jacksonville. You'll be close to the University of Florida, city life, restaurants, and larger retail options, as well as natural springs and forests for outdoor activities like hiking, rafting, canoeing, fishing, and hunting.

We're seeking a full-time, part-time, or relief veterinarian who is a compassionate team player and strong communicator. We welcome experienced associate veterinarians or provide mentorship to recent or new graduates.

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Veterinary degree or equivalent from an accredited university
• Current DEA License or obtained upon hire
• Active Veterinary State License
• USDA Accreditation or obtained upon hire

Special Working Conditions:

• Ability to sit or stand and work at a computer for long periods
• Ability to be confident around animals
• Mental capacity and processes for reasoning, remembering, mathematics, and language ability
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb, as well as manipulate up to 50 pounds
• Good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand-finger dexterity, and visual acuity
• Exposure to animals that may bite, kick, or scratch, and occasional exposure to anesthesia, radiation, biological or zoonotic hazards, and/or medication/controlled substances
