Job Overview

The Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a seasoned Clinical Risk Management Specialist to join our team. As a key member of the Risk Management Department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and quality of care for our patients.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with clinical practice and patient care. This will include conducting investigations into adverse events, developing recommendations for improvement, and collaborating with healthcare providers and other stakeholders to implement changes.

You will also have the opportunity to participate in various committees and projects focused on improving patient safety and quality of care, including those related to regulatory compliance and accreditation.

This is a full-time position that requires strong analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of healthcare professionals.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in risk management or a related field, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Strong knowledge of clinical quality, patient safety, and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
