Job Summary

Cosentino's Food Stores is seeking a skilled Cashier to join our team. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing sales transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using electronic cash registers and scanners.
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a professional manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the front end and surrounding areas.
  • Operate and maintain all equipment safely and competently.
  • Meet or exceed productivity standards to produce desired team and individual results.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Able to operate, clean, and maintain all equipment safely and competently.
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal skills necessary for positive customer and peer interactions.
  • Basic math and reading skills required for the position.
Working Conditions

The Cashier will be required to stand and walk for long periods of time, occasionally lifting and carrying up to 30lbs. to a height of 36 inches. The ability to reach overhead with both arms, twist at the waist, and push and pull grocery items and carts to the proper locations as needed is also required.
