Job Title: Director - Technology Consulting - State & Local Government

About the Role:

Guidehouse is seeking a seasoned Technology Consulting Director to lead our State and Local Government Practice. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving business development, leading delivery teams, and establishing approaches to gather information from clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead business development activities, including RFP responses and proposal development
  • Establish approaches to gather information from clients regarding client structure, process, technology, and culture
  • Facilitate meetings with client stakeholders to gather information
  • Identify and implement overall program improvements for clients
  • Effectively leverage project resources to accomplish tasks while providing regular feedback and coaching
  • Ability to lead account planning and target new business opportunities that support relevant practice development goals and objectives

Requirements:

  • Experience selling, securing, and launching technology consulting projects
  • Technology project management experience, including overseeing junior and mid-level staff, defining project direction, and ensuring successful project delivery
  • Critical thinking to solve problems and develop innovative solutions to client's management, technology, and operational challenges
  • 10+ years minimum of experience in technology management consulting with at least 5 years in State & Local Government
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree - MBA, Advanced engineering degree (or equivalent)
  • Experience in implementing technology and software, such as low code/no code platforms, data management, and enterprise resource planning (public sector preferred)
  • Strong professional network and/or experience in state and local government in Massachusetts, Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, and/or Rhode Island
  • Experience facilitating meetings and public speaking with large groups
  • Preference will be given to candidates who reside within a reasonable number of miles to the Boston Guidehouse office
