Certified Nursing Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center (GBMC). As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a professional nurse.
Responsibilities- Assist patients with basic activities of daily living, including bathing, toileting, and oral hygiene.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
- Observe patients and report any changes in condition to nursing personnel.
- Assist with patient mobility and turning, as needed.
- Transfer and transport medications, as required.
- Assist with patient feeding and collect trays at the end of meals.
- Promptly respond to patient call lights and relay information to nursing personnel, as needed.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- CPR Certification (Heart Saver) and CNA licensure required.
- Current registration with the State of Maryland Board of Nursing Examiners of Nurses as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
- At least 6 months of experience in direct patient care preferred.
- Ability to read and write English to provide basic patient care and understand detailed instructions.
- Interpersonal skills necessary to interact with patients, visitors, physicians, and other staff in a courteous manner.
- Competent to safely handle medications.
This is a full-time position working in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team setting and provide excellent patient care.
