Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Ascension St. Vincent's in Birmingham, AL. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for performing computed tomographic procedures for the diagnosis of disease and injury. Responsibilities
  • Prepare and position patients for computed tomographic procedures.
  • Select anatomic and technical parameters accurately to ensure high-quality images.
  • Administer contrast media and/or medications as needed, following established protocols and guidelines.
  • Monitor patient safety and well-being during procedures, reporting any abnormalities or concerns to radiologists.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date.
  • ARRT certification in Radiography, Nuclear Medicine, or Radiation Therapy, or NMTCB certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology.
  • High School diploma or equivalent, with 2 years of cumulative experience or an Associate's degree/Technical degree.
