Petroleum Inspection Specialist

Coastal Gulf & International, Inc. is seeking a skilled Petroleum Inspection Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our inspection department, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of petroleum products.
About the JobThis is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and strong analytical skills are essential. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to effectively interact with colleagues, clients, and management.
Job Responsibilities- Conduct routine inspections of petroleum terminals, refineries, and marine vessels to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Verify the accuracy of measurement equipment and maintain all issued equipment in good condition.
- Perform visual cleanliness inspections of tanks, including entering confined spaces, to ensure the integrity of the storage facilities.
- Work safely in the presence of hazardous materials, adhering to Material Safety Data Sheets and relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with operations to complete inspection assignments and provide accurate reports.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent is required; a degree in a related field is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for effective collaboration with team members, clients, and management.
- The ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical materials, including procedures and government regulations, is crucial.
- Familiarity with basic computer skills, including MS Word and Excel, is necessary for report writing and data analysis.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is mandatory, as local travel and occasional out-of-town assignments are required.
This position requires working in various environments, including extreme heat and cold, and involves standing, walking, and climbing up to 180 feet. Personal protective equipment must be worn at all times.
Salary InformationThe estimated annual salary for this position is $70,000 - $90,000, depending on experience and qualifications. This compensation package includes opportunities for growth and professional development within the company.
