Position Overview: In the role of Senior Dam Engineer, you will be instrumental in the planning, design, and construction supervision of dam projects. This position allows for complete remote work while being affiliated with our organization. You will work closely with diverse teams to ensure the successful execution of projects, maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the planning, design, and construction supervision of dam engineering projects.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including civil, structural, geotechnical, and environmental engineers, to formulate comprehensive project plans.
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations regarding dam safety and water resources.
- Employ advanced engineering software, such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D, to produce detailed design documents.
- Conduct site evaluations, feasibility studies, and risk assessments to guide project decisions.
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and project personnel.
- Effectively communicate with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to present project findings and recommendations.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to guarantee timely and cost-effective project delivery.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline (Master's degree preferred).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly desirable.
- Significant experience in dam engineering, including planning, design, and construction supervision.
- Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant tools.
- Thorough understanding of federal, state, and local regulations related to dam safety and water resources.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated project management experience with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
