About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team at Surgery Partners. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be responsible for processing accounts payable invoices for payment, verifying costs and price extensions, discounts, account codes, etc. You will also research unpaid invoices, credit memos, back ordered items, and process and remit accounts payable checks.

Additionally, you will communicate with vendors pertaining to accounts payable and receivable transactions, maintain files, provide backup for the preparation of accounts payable reports, and assist with audit preparation.

In order to be successful in this role, you will need knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, computer systems, calculator programs, and spreadsheet applications. You should also have knowledge of state and departmental policies and procedures as well as federal and state reporting requirements as they pertain to the accounts payable processes.

Requirements
  • A High School Diploma is required; an Associates Degree is preferred.
  • You should have 2 years of experience in accounts payable and/or general accounting.
