Critical Care Registered Nurse

Fairview Health Services is seeking a dedicated Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) for our Surgical/Neuro ICU Department.
Schedule: This role will involve a commitment of 0.6 FTE (48 hours biweekly) with 12-hour shifts during the Night shift. Weekend shifts will be required every third weekend.

About our Surgical/Neuro ICU Department:
Our Surgical/Neuro ICU is a specialized 16-bed unit focused on adult surgical patients requiring continuous monitoring, including those undergoing neurosurgery, transplants, and general surgery. We provide critical care to adult patients recovering from surgery or trauma, necessitating close observation and timely interventions. The ideal candidate will utilize advanced monitoring technologies, manage complex medication and infusion therapies, and assist patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, demonstrating proficiency in operating unit equipment safely and accurately.About Fairview:

ResponsibilitiesAs a Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN), your responsibilities will include:
Assessing patient needs and determining expected nursing outcomes; Creating a personalized nursing care plan; Implementing necessary interventions during treatment based on the care plan; Evaluating patient care and responses to interventions and expected outcomes; Employing effective communication strategies to achieve optimal outcomes; Coordinating care with healthcare team members and delegating tasks appropriately; Advancing care by adhering to standards, guidelines, care pathways, and continuous improvement practices to enhance patient outcomes; Promoting a culture of evidence-based practice (EBP) through active participation in available opportunities; and Carrying out these responsibilities in compliance with all policies, procedures, professional practice guidelines, and relevant nursing regulations. QualificationsRequired Qualifications:
Current RN License in Minnesota Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Associate Degree in Nursing (AD) requiredPreferred Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher preferred Certification in a related specialty is highly desirable At least one year of current medical-surgical RN experience in a hospital setting is preferred One year of adult critical care experience is preferred Certification by the American Association of Critical Care Nursing or in a related specialty is highly preferred-
