We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Academic Psychiatrist to join our team at the University of Minnesota's Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences. As a key member of our faculty, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional clinical care, advancing research, and educating the next generation of mental health professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality outpatient psychiatric services to patients at our Community University Health Care Center (CUHCC) and academic adult units.
- Collaborate with our research teams to design and implement studies that improve patient outcomes and advance our understanding of mental health.
- Develop and implement clinical guidelines and protocols to ensure best practices in patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of unit quality and patient safety indicators.
- Engage in educational activities, including mentoring and teaching, to support the training of residents, medical students, and other learners.
- Graduate of an accredited ACGME/AOA Psychiatry residency training program.
- Board certified or eligible in psychiatry and subspecialty.
- Current licensure or ability to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice licensure.
- Ability to obtain and maintain DEA certification for Minnesota.
- Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges.
