As a Cook at the Massachusetts State Government, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals for residents at the Holyoke Veterans Home. Your duties will include cooking food in quantities according to menu and number of persons to be served, using standardized recipes and adjusting them as needed to produce required amounts. You will also be responsible for modifying recipes for special and therapeutic diets, preparing meals for special functions, and evaluating food for quality, quantity, appearance, temperature, and taste.
