About the Position:

Job Summary:

The Yavapai County is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Guardian Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our office, you will be responsible for managing the guardianship and conservatorship activities of the office, ensuring that statutory, licensing, and office requirements are fulfilled.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Case Management: Oversees the affairs of assigned wards, ensuring minimum visitation requirements are met.
  • Interdisciplinary Teamwork: Attends teamings and staffings to ensure effective coordination of services and care.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintains accurate and timely documentation of case files and prepares reports as required by the Court or directed by the Public Fiduciary.
  • Client Advocacy: Assesses client status on an ongoing basis and advocates for or arranges for the rights and needs of the ward to be properly addressed.
  • Financial Management: Makes decisions regarding medical treatments and financial management of the estate of the client, subject to the scrutiny of the Court, the AOC, attorneys, and any interested party.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with employees, other agencies, and the public.
Requirements:
  • Education: Associate's Degree in Business or equivalent.
  • Experience: A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in a fiduciary office or work related to guardianship and conservatorship.
  • Licensing and Certification: Must possess a valid Arizona driver's license and obtain and maintain licensing as a fiduciary.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of: Arizona statutes pertaining to guardianship, business English, and current Microsoft Office software.
  • Skills in: Communicating effectively verbally and in writing, establishing and maintaining effective working relationships, and organization and adherence to detail.
  • Abilities: Work in an independent manner to oversee services and management of client affairs, assess client status, and make decisions regarding medical treatments and financial management.
Working Conditions:

The ideal candidate will be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time, have sufficient vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and have the ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
