We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ambulance Attendant - ALS Specialist to join our team at UVA Health Northern VA & Culpeper. As a critical member of our emergency medical services team, you will be responsible for transporting patients of all ages to other healthcare facilities, nursing care facilities, or residences with qualified personnel as mandated by the patient's condition.
Key Responsibilities- Perform and/or assist in transporting patients of all ages
- Work independently and make decisions in emergent situations
- Communicate effectively with the public and healthcare professionals
- Operate mechanical ventilators and perform IV/IO access
- Adhere to REMS and department protocols, including special MD orders
- State EMT/Paramedic certification
- Advance Life Support Attendant: Paramedic certification
- Emergency Vehicle Operators Course (EVOC) certification
- Valid Driver's License with an acceptable DMV driving record
- AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications
