Master Tradesperson

**Job Description**

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for supervising a team of carpenters and overseeing the installation, repair, and maintenance of building components within homeless shelters and other facilities. You will also be responsible for making decisions relative to work procedures, preparing work schedules, and assigning tasks to team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervising the work of carpenters and other assigned personnel in the installation and repair of building components
• Making decisions relative to work procedures and preparing work schedules
• Conducting field inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to specifications
• Preparing job orders and tool and material requisitions
• Maintaining inventory of carpentry tools and materials
• Coordinating with other trades and departments to ensure project completion

Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must have seven (7) years of recent, satisfactory, full-time paid experience as a carpenter, with at least two (2) years of supervisory experience. A satisfactory equivalent may also be considered.
