Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Steel Fabrication Detailer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in creating accurate drawings and models for steel fabrication projects while adhering to industry standards. This role requires strong technical skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with project managers and fabricators.


Key Responsibilities
  • Review detailed drawings to identify necessary specifications and clarify discrepancies.
  • Create precise drawings and models for steel fabrication projects using CAD software.
  • Responsible for issuing project details to fabricators as required, including cut lists and DXF files to the laser.
  • Assist in problem-solving during the fabrication process.
  • Obtain competitive bids on materials, equipment, and subcontracts.
  • Conduct site visits as needed to gather information and assess project requirements.
  • Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, and related documentation.

Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this position is around $65,000-$80,000 based on industry standards and regional factors.


Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience in drafting, engineering technology, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Inventor, and other relevant design software.
  • Strong understanding of steel fabrication processes and industry standards.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in technical drawings.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to self-start and work independently.
