Job Description

Focus Staff is seeking a highly skilled and experienced MRI Technologist to join our team as a travel professional. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for operating magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce high-quality images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate MRI equipment to produce cross-sectional images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes.
  • Under the direction of the Chief of Radiology and the Imaging Services Director, perform related technological functions to ensure optimal diagnostic quality of patient care.
  • Interview patients to explain MRI procedures and address their concerns.
  • Ensure patient and staff safety by explaining safety protocols and monitoring patients via closed-circuit TV.
  • Orient new hires and train MRI Technologists, students, and trainees.
Requirements:
  • Two years of continuous recent experience as a MRI Technologist and be fully proficient in all duties required of a MRI Technologist II.
  • License in required state.
  • BLS.
  • Must be fully proficient in MRI and have knowledge of required protocols in performing complex MRI procedures.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other incumbents of the organization.
  • Ability to learn applications relevant to the position.
  • Two years of hospital experience in clinical area; EP preferred.
Work Environment:

This is a contract/temporary/travel position with a 13-week duration. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of procedures and patient safety, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
