Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CDL Truck Driver Instructor to join our team at 160 Driving Academy. As a CDL Truck Driver Instructor, you will play a critical role in training the next generation of truck drivers and helping them obtain their instructor license.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare students for their Pre-Trip, Yard Skills, and Road Driving portions of their exam
  • Monitor student progress and identify any gaps in knowledge or skills
  • Provide additional assistance and support to students as needed
  • Emphasize safety concepts, principles, and procedures to ensure students are well-prepared for their future careers
Requirements
  • Valid Wisconsin CDL Class A license with a minimum of 36 months of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to pass DOT physical exam
  • Ability to pass drug and alcohol tests
  • Basic computer capabilities and know-how to navigate a web browser
  • Available and willing to teach 40 hours per week
  • Patient, strong communication skills, and ability to demonstrate empathy with students
