Essential Functions:

1. Provide exceptional patient care and support in a dermatology setting.
2. Prepare patients for exams and procedures, explaining treatment procedures, medications, diets, and physicians' instructions.
3. Administer medications, including injections, IV therapy, and other treatments as needed and within the scope of licensure.
4. Provide basic patient care and treatments, such as wound dressing, catheterizations, and applying compresses.
5. Collect, label, and process specimens accurately.
6. Clean and prepare medical treatment rooms for patient visits.
7. Assemble and use equipment appropriate to specific medical practices.
8. Schedule follow-up appointments for patients as needed.
9. Communicate delays effectively when necessary.

Charting and Administrative Tasks:

1. Enter patient information into the computer accurately and in a timely manner.
2. Manage the physician's desktop accurately and in a timely and efficient manner.

Additional Responsibilities:

1. Provide clerical support to patients, including making appointments, booking procedures, obtaining pre-authorizations, and answering telephones.
2. Manage medical inventory and supply ordering based on par levels.
3. Work under the supervision of the physician or Registered Nurse.

Qualifications:

1. Graduate of LPN school program.
2. Current licensure as LPN in the state of New York and/or Connecticut.
3. IV and/or phlebotomy skills highly preferred.
4. Completes competency skill checklist within the first 3 months.

Compensation:

The provided compensation range is based on industry standards and salary determinations will be made based on numerous factors, including but not limited to years of experience and location of position.
