Job Title: Assembly Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Mechanic to join our team at Wipro Givon USA. As an Assembly Mechanic, you will be responsible for assembling fabricated/machined metal parts and standards into partial or completed assemblies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret written work orders and aerospace blueprints and drawings to determine parts requirements and sequence of assembly step.
  • Clean and prepare part surfaces for assembly.
  • Apply and clean excess adhesives, lubricants, sealants, and other substances as required by work order, drawing, and/or blueprint instructions to piece parts for assembly.
  • Insert rings, pins, and other standards and fasten parts together using nuts, bolts, screws, clips, rivets, or other fasteners.
  • Use hand tools to perform assembly operation, including hammers, punches, pliers, screwdrivers, wrenches, rivet guns, and other types of precision measuring tools and equipment.
Requirements:
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business language, technical procedures, aerospace blueprints and drawings, manuals, governmental regulations, and safety procedures and instructions.
  • Ability to perform basic math skills.
  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or listen.
  • Must be able to sit or stand for at least 10 hours a day.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e. current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
