**Responsibilities:**

* Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients
* Prepare equipment and assist physicians during examinations and treatments
* Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor patient vital signs
* Participate in the planning and implementing of patient care, directing and assisting in carrying out safe aseptic technique and procedures
* Offer leadership and direction to support staff within the department

**Requirements:**

* Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
* Current Texas State RN License
* CPR (American Heart Association) and NRP certification required within 90 days of hire or transfer date

**Work Environment:**

CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Corpus Christi-South is a 158-bed hospital located in south Corpus Christi, providing surgical and medical services, including pediatrics, obstetrics, skilled nursing, emergency, intensive care, and advanced diagnostic and imaging. Our hospital is also home to a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, enabling recovering mothers to remain close to their premature or special needs babies.
