Salary: $8k Sign-on bonus (paid out in 20% payments every 6 months over 2 years) + estimated annual salary range: $83,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced PACU Nurse to join our team at TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center. As a key member of our perioperative care team, you will be responsible for providing expert care to patients immediately postoperatively. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the safe and effective recovery of patients after surgery, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.

Job Summary

  • You will utilize therapeutic communication to maintain a safe and supportive environment for patients, identifying nursing problems and developing individualized care plans.
  • You must demonstrate age-specific knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, and treatment options for patients.
  • Ensuring patient confidentiality and protecting Protected Health Information (PHI) is core to your role.
  • You will use the nursing process to coordinate participation that fosters the goals of the hospital's mission and vision statement.
  • Your ability to perform technical skills, follow procedures, and think critically will be essential in providing high-quality patient care.

Requirements

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required within 6 months of employment start date
  • Current BLS certification upon hire
  • PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification required within 6 months of employment start date
  • Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
  • Current TN RN licensure or Current Compact State licensure
  • 1 year of ICU or PACU RN experience required
