We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Janitorial Specialist to join our team at BlueChip Pros. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of our facilities, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our employees and customers.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a variety of cleaning activities in assigned buildings/facilities, including dusting, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Empty and clean trash cans, ash urns, and other receptacles.
- Polish sidewalks, flower beds, and curb lines for trash and cigarette butts.
- Spot clean spills on sidewalks and remove gum with a scraper.
- Wipe benches, vending machines, and lower window ledges.
- Dust mop and spot mop main hallways, including glass cleaning and planters.
- Clean and sanitize tables, chairs, and other furniture in the food court.
- Remove accumulated dirty trays to the washroom and clean using a tray power washer.
- Police outside eating areas and maintain a clean and neat personal appearance while on the job.
- Knowledge of basic operations of janitorial work, including methods, materials, and equipment used.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions, and to communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors.
- Ability to operate powered and non-powered janitorial equipment, and to interpret written instructions and warning labels on cleaning chemicals.
- Physical ability to perform tasks that require walking, standing, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling, as well as climbing stairs and ladders.
This is a full-time position that requires working in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and will be able to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
