We are seeking a highly skilled RN Resident to join our Adult Acute Care team at OU Health. As a RN Resident, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide flexible workforce support to inpatient and outpatient nursing units
- Assume responsibility for patient care management and delivery using the nursing process
- Obtain and document patient histories and assessments, including chief complaints, allergies, current medications, system functions, and immunization status
- Monitor patient physiological data and intervene as necessary
- Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor for side effects
- Deliver patient care competently and delegate tasks to support staff as appropriate
- Interact with patients and families to share care plans as applicable
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing
- Current RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate Compact RN License (eNLC)
- Basic Life Support certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification issued by the American Heart Association within 3 months of hire
- Less than one year of RN experience
