About the Position

As a Pediatric Occupational Therapy Specialist with the Kansas City, MO School District, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students with special needs. Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Treatment Plans: Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other healthcare professionals to design and implement evidence-based occupational therapy interventions that meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Document student progress, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Communicate Effectively: Develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, parents, and community partners through effective communication and collaboration.

Qualifications and Requirements
  • Education and Experience: A Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field and previous experience working with children in a pediatric occupational therapy setting are required.
  • Certifications and Licenses: A current State of Missouri Occupational Therapy License and any additional certifications or specialized training relevant to this position are preferred.

Benefits and Compensation

We offer a competitive salary range of $42,000 - $50,000 per year, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Our benefits package includes health and dental insurance, a KCPS Defined Benefit Pension plan, and access to voluntary retirement savings plans. The ideal candidate will work 25 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with 185 days on the calendar.
