Job Summary

The Production Associate role at Butterball is a dynamic opportunity to join our team in the Evisceration Department. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for performing tasks on recently-slaughtered turkeys to prepare them for additional processing and packaging.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform manual, repetitive tasks to remove organs and parts from slaughtered turkeys
  • Operate tools, such as knives and scissors, to assist with the removal of organs and parts
  • Train to proficiency to rotate through jobs and perform multiple tasks within the department
  • Perform any job in the department at the supervisor's discretion
Working Conditions:

Working conditions in the Evisceration Department may include:

  • Working in a damp, cold, or hot environment
  • Exposure to raw meat and associated parts, including organs, blood, and feces
  • Working with loud and noisy machinery
  • Working with or around chemicals/fumes/pungent odors
  • Mandatory overtime or weekend work
Requirements:
  • No minimum education requirement
  • No previous work experience required
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years old
  • Must be eligible to work legally in the United States
