Job Summary

ConGlobal is seeking a skilled Railroad Switchman to join our global supply chain team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of railcars.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Monitoring switch points to ensure proper alignment and safe operation
  • Inspecting track conditions to prevent accidents
  • Coupling and uncoupling air hoses between railcars
  • Replacing broken railcar connectors
  • Working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Lifting up to 75lbs
  • Climbing ladders and stairs on railcars

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 2-3 years of rail experience
  • Switching or conductor experience preferred
  • A valid driver's license
  • Ability to follow safety protocols and practices
  • Reliable and punctual work ethic
  • Ability to work in a team environment
