Position Overview:

This position is responsible for providing expert-level server support, collaborating on technology network plans and strategies, and participating in the development of long-range infrastructure plans. The incumbent will work closely with technology and business partners to provide appropriate network functionality and ensure the corporation's reputation is maintained.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement server and network analysis, network operating systems, reporting, and logging solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technology server/network plans and strategies.
  • Participate in the development of long-range infrastructure plans, including network architecture and design.
  • Consult with technology and business partners to provide expert-level server functionality and support.
  • Direct resolution activities of junior staff and provide guidance on complex technical issues.
  • Consult to determine the priorities of technology networking project plans and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Troubleshoot and distinguish between network, server, and application issues, and develop effective solutions.
  • Develop and execute test cases and scripts to ensure server and network functionality.
  • Update project diagrams and department procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Act as a vendor liaison for assigned systems/platforms, ensuring seamless integration and support.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of job-related experience, with a minimum of 3 years of technology-related experience with networking physical and virtual servers.
  • Excellent knowledge of end-user devices, networks, server hardware and software, infrastructure, and reporting tools.
  • MCSA (Microsoft), VCP (VMware), CIAE (VCE Vblock) certifications, or equivalent experience.
