Job Summary

Obtain high-quality radiological exams under the supervision of a radiologist. Essential duties include operating mammography equipment, applying radiation, and performing routine screening and diagnostic breast imaging studies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet patients, confirm identification, and review imaging requests and patient history.
  • Reduce patient anxiety, explain procedures, and answer questions.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by following standards and procedures.
  • Document patient records and perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduate of an Accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
  • Current California mammography certification.
  • Greater than 200 mammography exams performed in the past 2 years.
  • Initial 8 hours in digital breast mammography and digital breast tomosynthesis.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Oral and written communication skills.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Experience with mammographic equipment.
  • Digital Breast Tomosynthesis (DBT) experience preferred.
  • Bone Density/Dexa modality experience a plus.

Certification/Licensure

  • Current registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Current California licenses as Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) in Radiography and Mammography modalities.
  • Documentation for initial training and/or 40 hours of course work per MQSA and California regulations in Mammography including Digital Mammography.
  • Current CPR (BLS) a plus.
