Responsibilities of the Unit Manager:

  • Organize and lead meetings and committees to address resident care matters within the unit.
  • Oversee the unit's operations with the aim of achieving and sustaining the highest standards of care.
  • Engage in the development, implementation, and assessment of programs that enhance the recruitment, retention, and ongoing education of nursing staff.
  • Communicate with physicians as necessary to ensure timely and appropriate medical interventions.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
  • Current RN license in the state of employment; must be active, valid, and in good standing.
  • Preferred: Valid CPR teaching certificate.
  • Minimum of three years of nursing experience, including at least one year in a long-term care setting.
