Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our team as an OD/ID Grinder. In this critical role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC OD grinding machines, ensuring the production of high-quality aerospace components. Your attention to detail and ability to maintain stringent tolerances will be essential in upholding the highest industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Machine Setup & Operation: You will be responsible for the complete setup and operation of CNC outer diameter (OD) grinding machines, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Precision Work: You will use radius dressers and other tools to ensure products meet exacting specifications, requiring a high degree of skill and precision.
  • CNC Programming: You will understand and interpret G&M codes, ensuring seamless integration with our manufacturing processes.
  • Quality Control: You will regularly inspect parts using standard measuring tools, confirming adherence to aerospace industry regulations and standards.
  • Team Collaboration: You will work cohesively within a team, communicating effectively with peers, supervisors, and cross-functional teams to drive success.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2-5 Years CNC OD/ID or Jig Grinding Experience Required
  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical certification in CNC machining preferred.
  • Required to be capable of holding.0002 tolerances on a regular basis
  • Experience in operating CNC grinding machines, specifically in a manufacturing environment.
  • Manual Surface Grinding Experience utilizing spin fixtures, rotary tables, radius dresser, etc.
  • Deep understanding of technical drawings and geometric dimensions and tolerances.
  • Proficiency with precision measurement tools.
  • Capable of Manual OD Grinding between centers.
  • High level of skill in maintaining precision and handling complex machine setups.
