Day in the Life:

As an Occupational Therapist at Kosair for Kids Complex Care Center, you will ensure the safety and well-being of children in our care, delivering high-quality therapy services while respecting the dignity of children and their families.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and develop individualized care plans, delivering occupational therapy treatments as prescribed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including billing and other required records.
  • Communicate effectively with families and interdisciplinary staff regarding therapy services and changes in functional levels.
  • Adhere to long-term care regulatory requirements, including infection control protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with annual regulatory requirements (e.g., TB tests, flu vaccinations).

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy with Kentucky Board Certification and active licensure.
  • At least one year of pediatric experience, including coursework; experience with assistive technology and children with multiple disabilities preferred.
  • Proficiency in pediatric occupational therapy, including tracheostomies, ventilators, and assistive technology.
  • Basic computer and documentation skills.
  • Strong communication skills with a commitment to respectful, dignified service.
  • Honest, high-integrity professional with excellent customer service skills.

Salary Information:

The estimated hourly salary for this position is $45-$60 per hour, based on industry standards and location factors.
