Job Summary

Aya Locums is seeking a skilled Critical Care Nurse Practitioner to fill a 13-week locum position in a Boston, MA hospital. The ideal candidate will have experience in conducting physical exams, diagnosing illnesses, and developing patient care plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Comprehensive Patient Assessments: Perform thorough physical exams, diagnose illnesses, and develop individualized patient care plans.
  • Prescribe and Administer Medication: Order and dispense medication as needed, ensuring accurate dosing and monitoring of patient responses.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Teams: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions.
  • Provide Patient Education and Support: Educate patients on health promotion, disease prevention, and self-care techniques to empower them in their healthcare journey.
  • Maintain Accurate Medical Records: Document patient interactions, treatments, and outcomes in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Monitor and Manage Chronic Conditions: Provide routine follow-up care and monitoring to patients with chronic conditions, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
  • Perform Diagnostic and Therapeutic Procedures: Administer diagnostic tests, interpret results, and perform therapeutic interventions as required.
Requirements
  • Active NP License: Possess an active and unencumbered nurse practitioner license in the state of practice.
  • Specialty Certification: Hold national NP certification for your specialty from an accredited organization.
  • Clinical Experience: Demonstrate experience in critical care nursing, with a strong understanding of patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
