Position Title: Production Operator - 3rd Shift

Shift Details:
Working hours are from 10:00 PM to 2:30 AM, Monday through Friday. Initial training will occur during the first week from 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM.

Overview:
This is an entry-level role within the manufacturing sector, focusing on weigh-up and packaging tasks in the production department. The primary objective is to ensure the delivery of high-quality products while minimizing costs and adhering to customer specifications, all in line with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Retrieve job assignments from the production board and gather batch tickets.
  • Collect necessary ingredients from allocation for production orders.
  • Mix dry ingredients in a tumbler for semi-mixing color, then transfer to a manual mixer for complete dispersion.
  • For liquid color, mix for the specified duration until fully blended.

Quality Control:
  • Provide samples and batch tickets to the quality control team.
  • Make adjustments and remix as directed by quality control.

Dry Color Packaging:
  • Create labels with the appropriate lot number and color details, applying them to bags and boxes.
  • Weigh and package products into bags, ensuring air is removed and bags are sealed using a heat sealer.
  • Organize and secure packaged products in labeled Ziploc bags and prepare for shipping.

Liquid Color Packaging:
  • Label bottles and boxes accurately with lot numbers and color information.
  • Fill bottles to the required weight, ensuring caps are secure and applying QC stickers for warranty protection.
  • Package bottles in boxes, securing them for shipment.

Administrative Duties:
  • Complete all necessary paperwork prior to moving orders to shipping.
  • Transport finished orders to designated shipping areas.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and utilize personal protective equipment.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Special Requirements:
  • Forklift experience is preferred.
  • Subject to pre-employment and random drug screenings.
  • Flexibility in shift scheduling is advantageous.
  • Bilingual candidates are preferred but not mandatory.

Work Environment:
Employees may encounter:
  • Significant variations in temperature and humidity.
  • Dust, fumes, and airborne particles.
  • Moving mechanical components and vibrations.
  • High noise levels in the workplace.

Physical Demands:
Employees must be able to:
  • Regularly see, talk, and hear.
  • Engage in physical activities such as standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing throughout the shift.
  • Lift and/or move items weighing over 50 pounds frequently.
  • Lift, push, or pull up to 200 pounds with assistance from equipment.
  • Communicate effectively in both oral and written forms.
  • Read and comprehend materials at a level sufficient for job performance.
