Position Summary

Under the supervision of a Cardiologist, Radiologist, Surgeon, or Director of Cardiovascular Services, the Registered Nurse will provide essential nursing support and implement nursing processes, including patient assessment and intervention during invasive interventional radiology and cardiac catheterization procedures. The role involves delivering direct patient care throughout the pre-procedural, intra-procedural, and post-procedural phases. Responsibilities encompass a variety of nursing functions within the Cardiovascular Services Department, including both invasive and non-invasive cardiology, as well as patient holding areas. Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited Registered Nursing program recognized by the California Board of Registered Nurses.
  • Active Registered Nurse License in the State of California.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • A minimum of four (4) years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a critical care environment (ICU, CCU) within an acute care hospital. Critical care skills are essential; CCRN certification is preferred.
  • At least two (2) years of recent experience in conscious sedation.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of recent experience as an Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab RN or Interventional Radiology RN with hemodynamic monitoring experience. Preference for candidates with full-time interventional experience in recent work history.
  • Completion of a basic 12-lead EKG course (to be completed within 60 days of employment).

Compensation: $77.05 per hour. Individual wages are determined based on various factors, including qualifications and experience.
