About the Role:

The Simulation Educator is a key member of the Health Sciences Simulation Center team at Samuel Merritt University. This role is responsible for supporting simulation-based learning and other immersive learning modalities on the Fresno Campus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure best practices are followed in the implementation of simulation-based learning.
  • Provide support to faculty as they integrate simulation strategies into their curricula.
  • Facilitate implementation of simulation scenarios for learners, including debriefing.
  • Effectively utilize TeamSTEPPSTM tools and strategies to enhance team performance and communication.
  • Engage in community outreach service by participating in or leading educational sessions within the HSSC for community and youth groups.

Education and Experience:

  • Master's degree in a health profession, education, or simulation.
  • Registered Nurse.
  • Prefer a minimum of 2-3 years experience in simulation-based teaching & learning.
