Job Responsibilities

As a Hazardous Material/Recycling Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Preparing comprehensive reports related to inspections, investigations, and studies completed in assigned program areas
  2. Providing general information regarding department policies, procedures, and regulations, receiving and responding to inquiries, requests for assistance, concerns, and complaints from the public
  3. Reviewing submittals via the California Electronic Reporting System database for hazardous material business plans, hazardous waste, and issuing permits for the installation, modification, or closure of underground storage tanks (USTs)
  4. Inspecting facilities with USTs and those that store hazardous materials/hazardous waste to ensure compliance with state guidelines
Location

You will be based in Placerville, CA, with access to a variety of outdoor activities, inviting agritourism locations, enriching family activities, and a proud Gold Rush history.
