Job Summary

Patient First is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team in the General Booth, Virginia Beach, VA area. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain high-quality x-rays using correct positioning and radiation exposure techniques.
  • Implement safety procedures to minimize radiation exposure for patients, staff, and self.
  • Produce and document x-ray CD copies accurately, adhering to Patient First guidelines.
  • Operate and maintain x-ray and processing equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Utilize the bell system effectively and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Filing and maintaining x-ray paperwork, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensure patient safety when using wheelchairs, stools, and other equipment.
  • Understand and utilize the Daily Log, X-Ray Listing, Copy Listing, and X-Ray Status Screen.
  • Operate the automated medical records system efficiently.
  • Perform cleaning and maintenance tasks, adhering to OSHA guidelines.
  • Restock supplies and maintain a well-stocked inventory.
  • Adhere to Patient First policies and procedures, ensuring excellent patient care.
  • Respond promptly to physician and nurse requests, demonstrating respect and professionalism.
  • Complete checklists for the x-ray area and treatment area, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Attend training classes and staff meetings as scheduled, staying up-to-date on industry developments.
  • Be available to work flexible hours, including breaks and mealtimes, to ensure seamless patient care and center operations.
  • Maintain and operate medical and office equipment, adhering to manufacturer guidelines.
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • Keyboarding experience necessary.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills essential.
  • One year of clerical experience preferred.
  • One year of clinical experience preferred.
  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Licensed to practice as a Radiologic Technologist or Limited Radiologic Technologist by the Virginia Board of Health Professions.
  • Limited Radiologic Technologist must be licensed to practice in the following anatomical areas: chest/thorax, extremities, skull/sinuses, spine, and abdomen/pelvis.
