Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Travel Nurse RN to join our healthcare team at Garfield County Hospital District. This role involves providing exceptional nursing care in a small facility located in a scenic area of Washington State.

Certification Requirements
  • ACLS and BLS certifications are mandatory.
  • Additional certifications such as PALS and TNCC are preferred.
Job Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Delivering high-quality care to patients in a long-term care and skilled nursing facility.
  • Working primarily on a 12-hour shift schedule, totaling 36 hours per week.
  • Participating in weekend rotations and holiday coverage as needed.
  • Floating to cover the Emergency Department and other units as required.
Experience Requirements

Applicants must possess:

  • A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, specifically in a rural Critical Access Hospital setting.
  • A valid Washington State nursing license prior to application submission.
Unit Information

The nursing unit comprises:

  • A permanent/swing floor with an average census of 15-17 patients.
  • A collaborative environment with a charge nurse from the ER acting in a supervisory capacity.
  • Common patient diagnoses including geriatric care, dementia, COPD, TBI, and psychiatric conditions.
Additional Details

Other important aspects of this position include:

  • Scrub color is flexible, provided attire is clean and professional.
  • Nurses are expected to read and interpret telemetry strips.
  • There are no respiratory therapists on-site; RNs will manage all treatments independently.
