Job Summary:
The Night Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the efficient operation of the shift, including proper manpower utilization, effective use of standard operating procedures, training and motivating team members, and ensuring a safe and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily processes on the dock and in coolers to ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
- Review, coach, and develop outbound associates to improve performance and productivity.
- Maintain accurate records of labor hours, consumable supplies, and other relevant data.
- Issue discipline when necessary and interpret company policies for employees.
- Hold daily pre-shift meetings to discuss important issues and provide guidance.
- Manage labor hours and consumable supplies within established guidelines.
- Prepare work schedules to meet business needs.
- Perform substitution of items that are not available for selection.
- Communicate effectively with sales, purchasing, and inventory control teams.
- Conduct spot checks on orders to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Inspect material handling equipment daily to ensure safe operations and coordinate required repairs with the maintenance department.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Education:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Experience:
- A minimum of one year of experience in operations/warehouse management, preferably in shipping and receiving perishable products.
Professional Skills:
- Ability to supervise, motivate, and train hourly employees.
- Able to solve problems independently and effectively communicate information.
Decision-Making Authority:
